Police arrested a Missouri lady after she was caught on camera reportedly spiking her husband’s Mountain Dew with a chemical weed killer.

Michelle Peters, 47, was charged with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action, the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media statement on Tuesday.

Peters allegedly spiked her husband’s Mountain Dew, which was kept in their garage refrigerator during May and June.

According to court documents obtained by Law&Crime, Peters admitted that she poisoned the Mountain Dew to be “mean,” claiming that her husband did not enjoy the 50th birthday she had planned for him.

Her spouse, whose name was censored, first noticed a “weird” flavor in his drink on May 1.

Despite the unusual taste, he continued to drink Mountain Dew and soon experienced poisoning symptoms.

According to the doctors, Peters’ husband began experiencing symptoms such as a sore throat, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and coughing up “brown/yellow thick mucus.”

According to the affidavit, the chemical glyphosate included in Roundup, if swallowed, can result in increased saliva, burns, discomfort in the mouth and throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and even death. On June 24, Peters’ husband went to the police and said he thought his wife was after his $500,000 life insurance policy.

He told officials that he had “several” videos of his wife putting Roundup, a weed-killing pesticide, in Mountain Dew bottles.

According to FOXNEWS, On June 24, the spouse allegedly witnessed Peters on film applying insecticide in his Mountain Dew bottle. When Peters was interrogated about the occurrences, she explained that she mixed the soft drink with Roundup to use as a weed killer, according to the records.

According to the records, she acknowledged to putting pesticide in her husband’s Mountain Dew bottle, thinking it was Roundup.

Her husband survived, although his status is unknown at the moment.

Peters is being held in the Laclede County Detention Center without bond. She has a bond review hearing planned for July 2.
