A man from Mississippi who was able to find his stolen vehicle by following the AirPods that were inside of it discovered that it was one of many stolen automobiles that were recovered on Marydale Drive in South Jackson.
According to WLBT, the 2019 Hyundai owned by Victor Porter was one of at least eight stolen automobiles that were recovered by the Jackson Police Department from the same home. Some owners showed up to claim their property on Marydale Drive, and Porter was one of them.
Officials from the Jacksonville Police Department have reported that they have found a white Toyota Camry that was stolen on Terry Road earlier that same day. One Chevrolet Camaro, one Ford Taurus, one Jeep Cherokee, and four Hyundais, including Porter’s, were also among the vehicles that were stolen.

According to Porter, his vehicle was discovered with some expended shells inside, which is an indication that it may have been used in another criminal act. The automobiles were retrieved as a result of a collaborative operation by the Jackson Carjacking Task Force and the Jackson Police Department.

The task force was constituted in April by the office of the United States Attorney. Officers have stated that they do not have any suspects or information on suspects, and they have not ruled out the possibility that this Marydale Drive location is a chop shop.
