A self-described “psychologist” befriended a 15-year-old girl to coerce her into having sexual encounters with two adults.

Maria Ximena Duarte, 45, is now incarcerated in Miami-Dade County, Florida, on accusations of human trafficking, lewd and lascivious display on a child under the age of 16 while the defendant is above the age of 18, lewd and lascivious violence, and interference with custody. Documents implicated two guys in the alleged assault. Duarte’s arrest affidavit states that one of them sexually molested the girl.

The documents only include the men’s first names. Law&Crime is not naming them since they have not been charged, but we contacted the police about the other adults. According to a law enforcement spokesman, the inquiry is still underway. The public defender’s office for Duarte declined to comment.

According to records, the girl informed police that she walked her dog to a hotel pool area on Tuesday and met the defendant. Duarte allegedly became acquainted with the adolescent, soon winning her trust by revealing herself as a psychologist. The youngster became comfortable with the defendant and confided in her about personal life concerns, to which she was assured they shared similar life experiences.

But Duarte reportedly provided the girl with marijuana smoke and several alcoholic beverages. The adolescent refused to consume the booze and instead stayed in the hotel room, occasionally returning home and returning the next day.

On Wednesday, however, Duarte reportedly snapped photos of her and sent them to a man, claiming the girl was 21 and eager to have sex with him.

However, the girl declined, stating in the affidavit that “she was not like that.” Duarte reportedly ignored her and continued to insist. According to the records, the defendant had sex with this person in front of the youngster and provided her with a phone to capture the oral sex. According to the records, the defendant committed the conduct “while telling the victim that she was teaching her.”

Duarte’s boyfriend also allegedly arrived at the hotel room, and she fled to leave the girl alone in the room with him. Despite the girl’s distress, Duarte pulled her back inside the hotel room and instructed her to remain and make the guy “feel good,” according to records.

The girl, alone in the room, entered the bathroom and began playing on her phone. She later walked outside to discover the man with his penis exposed, pleasuring himself and “inviting the victim to have sex with him,” according to records.

She declined, but Duarte’s boyfriend grabbed her by the back of her head and neck, according to the affidavit. Documents detail a sexual attack.

During her time in the room, the girl discovered that Duarte traded sex for narcotics “to satisfy her drug addictions,” officials claimed.

“The victim overheard the defendant state to [the boyfriend] she’s 15, can you believe that?” according to court paperwork.

When police interviewed Duarte later, they characterized her as “belligerent and uncooperative” and said she seemed to be high on unknown narcotics.

“Therefore this detective determined the interview could not be conducted,” according to records.
