A man and a woman were killed in a murder-suicide that took place at a residence in Miami-Dade County on Saturday morning, leaving children without their parents.
Officers received reports of a person who had been shot in the 124600 block of West Randall Park Drive at around 8:30 in the morning, according to Det. Andre Martin of the Miami-Dade Police Department. Inside a residence, they discovered a man named Marcos Antonio Gonzalez, who was forty years old, and a woman named Raiza Cajuso, who was forty years old, both carrying gunshot wounds.
According to the authorities, the two individuals had already passed away at the hospital.
Following an initial examination, it was discovered that the two had been in a relationship but had since broken up. Following the Miami Herald’s news partner CBS News Miami, the three children of the couple, who were nine, thirteen, and fifteen years old at the time of the shooting, were present inside the residence. The call to 911 was made by one of them.

Within a short period before the shooting, Gonzalez and Cajuso engaged in a disagreement that “became violent.” Gonzalez allegedly pulled out a revolver and shot Cajuso before turning the gun on himself, according to the investigators.
