According to the footage taken by the dashboard camera of the car, a family, including their kid who is 19 months old, was in the line of fire during a recent road rage incident in Mesa. Alyssa Soto, who is 24 years old, has been arrested and is being charged with aggravated assault.

The disturbing video, which was discovered after the incident that occurred on August 7, shows Soto in a black SUV at the intersection of McKellips and Higley Roads in Mesa. She is seen rolling down her window and exchanging heated words with the people who were inside the Tesla before firing her firearm.

The entire exchange is captured on the integrated camera system of the vehicle. The victims, who wished to remain anonymous, provided this video to the authorities, which assisted in Soto’s capture. Additionally, according to Arizona’s Family, Soto’s child was also present in the vehicle during the altercation, which raised grave concerns about the safety of both families whose members were involved.

Investigations revealed that Soto’s frustration stemmed from being cut off and clipped by the victim’s car. Investigations also revealed that during the incident, a 9mm pistol was used, which was later retrieved from her residence during a warranted search.

The Mesa Police Department utilized license plate readers to track Soto’s SUV. Although they voiced genuine fear about the possibility of retaliation, none of the people who were inside the Tesla were hurt in the accident.

The bullet and a shell casing were found close to the crime scene, adding to the tangible evidence that allowed for prompt law enforcement action, as described by Arizona’s family. Despite Soto’s assertion that her intention was not to cause harm, she told the police that she was “so angry and frustrated that she decided to shoot her handgun at the other vehicle.”

However, no justification can be found for such recklessness, especially when taking into consideration the fact that she has a history of traffic-related convictions, which, despite not being violent, raise questions about her ability to control her impulses behind the wheel.
