Man Wanted in Fargo Apartment Shooting That Left One Dead Caught by Dubuque Authorities

A guy wanted in North Dakota for conspiracy to commit murder was captured in Dubuque on Thursday.

An electronic license plate reader identified the vehicle belonging to 30-year-old Steven Burrell.

Dubuque police then used multiple cameras to locate and apprehend Burrell at the Casey’s on Rockdale Road around 10:16 p.m. on Thursday.

According to Valley News Live, Burrell was wanted in connection with a gunshot that occurred at noon on Wednesday at the Summers at Osgood Apartments on the 4500 block of 47th St. S. in Fargo.

The victim of the incident has been named as 32-year-old Fargo resident Rahssan Wilson. Wilson was transferred to a local hospital, where he eventually died.

Fargo police said at a press conference Friday afternoon that Wilson and Burrell knew each other. The motive for the shooting has not been revealed.
