A person was stabbed after an incident in Paso Robles on Sunday morning. According to a Paso Robles Police Department news release, officers were notified at 2:07 a.m. of a stabbing victim who was brought to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the announcement, an altercation took place in the 3300 block of Vine Street early in the morning. The culprit, Alberto CruzNieves, 32, of Paso Robles, has been recognized by police. Following the stabbing, CruzNieves allegedly fled the area in a car.
According to the announcement, CHP officers in Kern County discovered CruzNieves in a car and arrested him without incident shortly after.
CruzNieves was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on accusation of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the release. An investigation is now ongoing.
