MAN SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES DURING ROAD RAGE INCIDENT Near San Antonio Zoo; 25-year-old Suspect Co-operating

San Antonio police reported that a 36-year-old man died after being shot multiple times during an apparent road rage incident.

Officers responded to a gunfire complaint around 12:30 p.m. on the 800 block of East Hildebrand Avenue, near the San Antonio Zoo.

When cops arrived, they discovered a 36-year-old male with several gunshot wounds, shell casings, and a car with a broken rear window.

Following additional investigation, authorities determined that two individuals were involved in a road rage incident. At some point, the men stopped on the northbound access road near U.S. Highway 281.

Authorities then said that the man got out of his car and began shattering the windows of the second automobile with a hammer. According to SAPD, the other motorist, a 25-year-old, got out of his vehicle and fired multiple shots at the 36-year-old male after the window was smashed.

The 36-year-old was taken to a hospital in critical condition. He was later declared deceased, police said Thursday afternoon.

According to KSAT, the 25-year-old remains at the scene and is assisting with the SAPD’s ongoing investigation.

It is unclear whether the 25-year-old will face any charges.
