Man Shot Dead in Arlington After Allegedly Attempting to Strangle Child’s Mother

ARLINGTON, Texas — A man who was thirty years old was allegedly attempting to strangle the mother of his child when he was shot and died on Tuesday, according to the police.

At about 11:08 p.m., officers from the Arlington Police Department responded to an apartment complex located in the 2900 block of Forest Hollow Lane in response to a shooting that was taking place at that neighborhood. The woman reportedly told the authorities that one of her relatives had shot the father of her child. The woman was a witness to the incident.

As soon as the policemen arrived, they stated they had a conversation with the person who was accused of shooting, and he informed them that he did it to protect himself and to prevent the other man from strangling the woman.

In the course of their investigation, the police discovered that the couple had a history of engaging in violent behavior toward one another in the home.

It was determined that the individual who had been shot had passed away after being transported to the hospital. It has been said by the police that his identity will be disclosed at a later time.

Additionally, the Arlington Police Department has stated that there have been no arrests made at this time, and the investigation into the case is still ongoing.
