MAN KILLED IN SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH on Tucson’s Old Spanish Trail, Authorities Report

TUCSON, Ariz.- A single-vehicle accident that occurred in Tucson on August 18 resulted in the death of a man.

An accident involving a single vehicle was reported to have occurred around 5:09 p.m. in the area of South Old Spanish Trail and East Saguaro Crest Place. Deputies from the Vail District of the Pima County Sheriff’s Department rushed to the scene.

According to the deputies who arrived at the site, they discovered the driver, identified as Adrian Barnes, who was 42 years old, lying inside the vehicle.

Barnes was driving his car on Old Spanish Trail in the direction of Saguaro Crest Place when it veered off the roadway and drove down an embankment, according to the preliminary results of the investigation.

During the crash, Barnes was not wearing his seatbelt, according to the public safety department.

As far as the authorities were concerned, neither speed nor impairment was thought to have played a role in the occurrence.

The inquiry is still underway, and the authorities are actively gathering further information at this time.
