MAN FATALLY SHOT IN SOUTH BERKELEY IDENTIFIED AS 52-YEAR-OLD Corey Dushawn Waters From Oakland

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office has revealed that the individual who was killed in the shooting that took place on Friday in South Berkeley has been named as Corey Dushawn Waters, who is 52 years old and is from Oakland.

On the afternoon of August 16, Waters was shot and killed in the 3200 block of Adeline Street. A deadly shooting occurred.

The Berkeley Police Department is continuing its investigation into the homicide, although there has been very little information available about it. According to the police, they were initially summoned to an apartment complex on Adeline at around 12:44 p.m. on August 16, and when officers arrived, they discovered Waters, who had been shot.

The authorities stated that Waters was pronounced dead on the spot, even though “life-saving measures” were taken.

This is the third homicide that has occurred in Berkeley this year, and the second one that was committed with a firearm.
