Man Ejected and Killed in Oroville Rollover Crash, CHP Reports

A man died on Saturday morning after being ejected from his vehicle in a rollover accident near Oroville.

According to the CHP, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Lower Wyandotte Road, just outside of South Oroville between Alverda Drive and Feather Falls Boulevard, and the guy was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.

“Based on a preliminary investigation, it appears a white Chevrolet Suburban, driven by a male, was traveling eastbound and for unknown reasons at this time, traveled off the roadway, rolled over, and struck an embankment and tree,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

The agency said it is examining the collision but has not disclosed whether drugs or alcohol were involved. The CHP also sent a safety message to the community, reminding them to remember to wear a seatbelt “every time you drive.”
