Livermore Shooting Suspect Arrested: 26-year-old Faces Multiple Charges, Gun Recovered

Police in Livermore say they have detained a 26-year-old man in connection with a July firing at an occupied car.

On July 17, officers responded to a complaint of a gunshot involving a white Ford F-150 and a blue Honda Civic in the 600 block of Rincon Avenue.

Witnesses informed police that the F-150 followed the Honda around Ora Street and Rincon Avenue. At the junction, a passenger in the F-150 fired several shots at the Honda, one of which struck it. Nobody was wounded.

Police identified Arturo Morales, 26, as the accused driver of the suspicious car, and stated the shooting was gang-related.
Morales was detained on August 14 at his Livermore home. Officers also conducted a search warrant in connection with the incident, recovering a 9mm pistol and ammo.

Morales was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly firing at an inhabited car, assault with a dangerous weapon, being a felon in possession of a handgun, ammunition, and allowing someone to shoot from a vehicle.
