Littleton Man, 70, Arrested After Alleged Road Rage Shooting in Roxborough Park

DENVER – A man from Littleton was detained Thursday night following a probable road rage gunshot in the Roxborough Park neighborhood.

Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting in the 8300 block of North Rampart Range Road. The sheriff’s office stated that deputies discovered that the suspect and victims were involved in a probable road rage incident, which resulted in the suspect shooting at the victim’s automobile.

The culprit, a 70-year-old Littleton man, was found at his home and arrested.

“Thanks to our deputies’ prompt intervention, a potentially deadly situation was quickly resolved. The arrest of the individual who fired at a car during a road rage incident ensures our community’s safety. “We will not tolerate such reckless and life-threatening behavior on our roads,” Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly declared.

The suspect was taken to the Douglas County Detention Facility and charged with criminal attempted murder, felony menacing, illegal discharge of a firearm, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and banned use of a weapon.
