Late-night Rollover on Highway 90 Leaves ONE DEAD, TWO INJURED: San Antonio Police Investigating

On Wednesday, August 28, a late-night drive on Highway 90 on San Antonio’s Westside ended in death. A passenger was ejected from the vehicle during a rollover and pronounced deceased at the site.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, first responders were called to the intersection of Highway 90 and South General McMullen for a rollover accident. According to early information from the San Antonio Police Department, three men were riding in a cargo van transporting roofing equipment when it slid into a grassy area alongside the highway.

The van’s driver and another passenger were taken to University Hospital with minor injuries. In contrast, the third passenger was ejected from the vehicle after the rollover and confirmed dead on the site by emergency authorities. As of early Wednesday morning, the cause of the crash remained unknown, as did the three men’s destination.

The San Antonio Police Department’s investigation into the crash is still ongoing. Overall, the San Antonio Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS responded to the deadly crash. As of 7 a.m. on Wednesday, the wreckage had been cleared, indicating that the collision had little influence on morning rush hour traffic.

The identity of the man slain has not been revealed.
