The Department of Defense reported on Saturday that US and coalition forces had carried out more than two dozen strikes against Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.

With assistance from the United Kingdom, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, and New Zealand, the strikes were carried out.
On Saturday evening, in self-defense, the Biden administration issued an order to intercept six Houthi anti-ship cruise missiles that were positioned to engage vessels in the Red Sea.

Since their disappearance earlier this month during a mission in the Red Sea, two US Navy SEALs have been deemed deceased. Prior US strikes haven’t stopped attacks on American forces.
Since the outbreak of the Hamas-Israel conflict in October, Iranian-backed militant groups have launched at least 166 rocket, missile, and one-way attack drone strikes against US bases in Iraq and Syria, eliciting roughly a half-dozen US counterstrikes against militant facilities in both countries.
