Cambria County, Pennsylvania – A Johnstown man is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman carrying a kid.
Warren Wills, 30, is facing felony charges for beating, choking, and kicking a pregnant lady, according to a criminal complaint. On Tuesday, August 27, officers from the Johnstown Police Department responded to a report of a physical assault at the Oakhurst apartments.
Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with the victim, who stated that Wills attacked her after she had been gone for too long, according to the affidavit. Officers observed that the woman had numerous bruises, wounds, and blood on her face.
The woman told authorities that she had left the apartment to acquire diapers and that she had to go to two places because the first didn’t have any. She claimed that she was out for around two hours and that when she returned home, there appeared to be no problems at first.
Wills then allegedly became enraged with her and accused her of having been gone too long. Wills then allegedly punched the victim in the head many times and choked her. Police stated in the complaint that they saw marks around the victim’s neck. The victim stated that when Wills attacked her, she was holding her daughter.
According to the complaint, the woman stated that she ended up on the ground, and Wills allegedly kicked her twice in the stomach. She informed officers that she was thirteen weeks pregnant.
Wills in Cambria County Prison, with bail set at 10% of $30,000. He is charged with felony aggravated assault, strangulation, and misdemeanor harassment.
He has a preliminary hearing planned for September 11.
