A woman suspected of murdering a toddler outside a Cleveland, Ohio supermarket claimed to have killed before, in Bakersfield.
Bionca Ellis is accused of fatally stabbing a three-year-old boy outside a supermarket. Ellis is charged with murder, aggravated murder, attempted murder, and other offenses. During her arraignment on Monday, the 32-year-old pled not guilty to all seven charges.
According to police, the reason for the stabbings is unknown and appears to be a random act.

Nonetheless, according to court records, Ellis informed investigators that she murdered a lady in Bakersfield a few months ago and discarded her body in an unknown location, possibly near a river.
According to Kern County criminal case records, Ellis was charged with three counts of misdemeanor violence in late January after being a patient at Kern Medical and allegedly attacking three hospital staff members. According to police reports, Ellis refused to leave the hospital after being treated, and when security attempted to remove her, she kicked two guards and a nurse. There are no court hearings scheduled about those charges.
Ellis’ description of the possible murder in Bakersfield to Cleveland police was detailed, with the victim described in court papers as a Caucasian female, roughly 5 feet, 6 inches, 150 pounds, who was a bartender or worked at a bar. 17 News reached out to the Bakersfield Police Department regarding the alleged homicide. A spokeswoman stated: “Ellis made some spontaneous statements, which were transmitted to our investigators. This information was shared with the other investigators to check that the information provided was not consistent with the unsolved homicides under investigation.”
According to the spokeswoman, Bakersfield police lacked sufficient evidence to charge Ellis with murder.
“The information does not match any cases actively being investigated, and at this time, Ellis is not a person of interest or being investigated for any offense,” police stated.
