Unseasonably cold weather remains in place over South Carolina, and temperatures continue to fall this week.
Wednesday morning temperatures will range from the upper teens to the low 20s.
But it is only part of the story. Winds will begin to build up late Wednesday, bringing in additional colder air by Thursday.
Thursday will be misleading, with highs near 52, but the winds will make it feel much cooler throughout the day.
It will feel like single digits in western North Carolina just after nightfall, and teens to low 20s elsewhere, making it the coldest weather we’ve had since January.
Friday morning, the chill remains, but a modest warmth will return just in time for the weekend.
More hard freezes will return Friday night and Saturday.
