GBI Investigation Reveals: 7 Accused GANG Members CONNECTED to North Georgia CRIMES

Several alleged Georgia gang members are now facing several charges as a consequence of an extensive investigation by multiple agencies.

In October of last year, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Gang Task Force investigated the members and affiliates of the Habersham Gangster Disciples street gang. On April 18, agents from Georgia and North Carolina executed search and arrest orders.

The individuals who were brought into custody are:

1. Roger Laquerrius Neal, 34, of Toccoa, Georgia, was charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, and possessing a Schedule III substance with the intent to distribute.

2. Tyler Dallas Cagle, 33, of Waynesville, NC, has been charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, possessing a Schedule III substance with the intent to distribute, simple assault, and terroristic threats.

3. Sarah Smathers, 31, of Waynesville, NC, was charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, and possessing a Schedule III substance with the intent to distribute.

4. Terry Ray Williams Jr., 20, of Waynesville, NC, was charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, and possessing a Schedule III substance with the intent to distribute.

5. Shelby Page Stephens, 63, of Waynesville, NC, was charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, and possessing a Schedule III substance with the intent to distribute.

6. Quillan Leshun Samuels, 25, of Gainesville, Georgia, was charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, Terroristic Threats, and possessing a Schedule III substance with the intent to distribute.

7. Andrew Nelson Dover, 47, of Habersham County, Georgia, was charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, and possessing a Schedule III substance with the intent to distribute.

Conclusion

Following an intensive investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Gang Task Force, six accused members of the Habersham Gangster Disciples street gang have been charged with RICO offenses and narcotics possession. The arrests were conducted in coordination with Georgia and North Carolina law enforcement authorities, signifying a significant step forward in fighting gang-related activity.
