On Tuesday, a man from Florida was found guilty of masterminding a robbery gang that was said to have committed home invasions, kidnappings, and assaults across five states. The man may spend the rest of his life in jail as a result of his conviction.

A federal court in North Carolina found Remy St. Felix guilty on nine counts related to conspiracy, abduction, Hobbs Act robbery, wire fraud, and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of crimes of violence. The charges were brought against him to commit crimes of violence.

It is anticipated that the sentence of the native of West Palm Beach will take place in September. The maximum sentence that might be handed down to him is life in prison, with a minimum of seven years.

Following the arrest and subsequent guilty pleas of all thirteen of St. Felix’s co-conspirators over several months, the decision was finally handed down.

Authorities believe that St. Felix was involved in the planning of a string of robberies that took place in the states of Florida, Texas, New York, and North Carolina during September 2022 and July 2023.

Argentieri, who is the head of the criminal division of the Justice Department. “Even though the members of this violent conspiracy attempted to cover their tracks through encrypted communication and anonymous financial transactions,” she claims.

Based on the evidence shown during the trial, Felix and a co-conspirator entered the residence of a victim in April 2023 while posing as construction workers.

A victim and his wife were detained at gunpoint by the men, who also attacked them and tied them up with zip ties. St. Felix then issued an order to the spouse, instructing him to remove more than one hundred fifty thousand dollars worth of bitcoin from his account.

According to a criminal complaint, St. Felix threatened to rape his wife, shoot him, and cut off his toes to persuade the husband to comply with his demands over his behavior.
