An Australian man is accused of murdering his wife using a homemade spear.

Talaat Hawatt, also known as Terrance Howot, is suspected of attacking his wife Khouloud Bakour Hawatt with the weapon on Wednesday, December 11, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

According to a release from New South Wales police, they were summoned to a home in the Sydney suburb of Belmore at 7.50 a.m. after receiving a welfare concern report. Officers then discovered the body of a lady who has yet to be officially identified but is thought to be Bakour Hawatt, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Police also stated that, following investigations, they apprehended a 35-year-old man acquainted to the woman around 8.30 a.m.

The guy was subsequently escorted to Campbelltown Police Station in New South Wales, where he was charged with murder and violating a restraining order (known as an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order or ADVO in Australia).

“It does look like it is a very violent murder scene,” Campsie police captain Sheridan Waldau told 9 News Australia, adding that cops had to force their way into the house.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Hawatt got a judge earlier this year to revoke the domestic violence order that prevented him from contacting his wife.

It came after the Bankstown Local Court in New South Wales issued an ADVO against him on February 14. This specified that Hawatt could not contact, assault, threaten, stalk, or damage anything owned by Bakour Hawatt. He was also informed that he may only speak with her through a lawyer.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Hawatt requested the restraining order be revoked in April so that he may return to his home. In August, Bankstown Local Court agreed to alter the ADVO so Hawatt could return and communicate with his wife.

According to the publication, he is now accused of Bakour Hawatt’s murder and violating the ADVO.

According to the police report, Hawatt was denied bail, and the Sydney Morning Herald reported that he appeared “emotionless” in Bankstown Local Court via video link.

Khouloud Bakour Hawatt’s Facebook profile contains numerous photos of small children, and she is thought to be a mother of five, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

A neighbor told Daily Mail Australia that the youngsters, who are elementary school age or younger, frequently ran around the flat making noise.
