A guy was arrested and charged with murder after a woman and a man were discovered shot to death last summer in a home in New Market, Maryland, with four children inside. The suspect is the woman’s ex-husband, according to officials.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office stated Monday that David Phillip Turner, 33, of Miami, had been charged with the terrible crime. He was charged with first-degree murder and a weapons offense.
The victims were Crimea Malita Baker of New Market and Sean Antoine Lange of Arlington. Baker was 33, while Lange was 34.
“This was a heinous, targeted double murder – a crime of rage and anger,” Sheriff Chuck Jenkins stated following the killings on August 25.
Jenkins reported that the victims were shot 42 times at close range.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 7000 block of Mandalong Court, north of I-70, at 7 a.m. Inside, they discovered Baker and Lange dead in an upstairs bedroom.
According to the initial inquiry, they were shot at 1:30 a.m.
