TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was looking into a possible murder-suicide in the parking lot of a Tampa hospital.
According to HCSO, around 6:37 p.m. on August 14, deputies responded to a complaint about two possibly deceased individuals in a parking lot at HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital.
When they arrived at the site, HSCO deputies discovered a lady with gunshot wounds and a guy with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Officials named the woman as Zelica Martucci, 67, and the guy as Philip Martucci, 75.
Deputies stated that this was an isolated incident with no widespread threat to the public.
“This is an unimaginable tragedy, and our hearts break for the families and loved ones affected by this senseless loss,” Sheriff Chad Chronistersaid. “Violence like this is never a solution. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragedy.
