A person from Eaton will be sentenced to a maximum of twelve years in jail for sexually assaulting a girl who was thirteen years old and sharing nude photographs and videos with her.
After pleading guilty on June 11 to two counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, as well as one count of tampering with evidence, Calvin Ray Keener was sentenced to a total of eight to twelve years in prison on Thursday by Preble County Common Pleas Judge Stephen Bruns. The sentence was handed down by the judge from the Preble County Court of Common Pleas.

On February 13, the Eaton Police Division responded to a report of a missing juvenile. The family of the missing child later discovered her when they went to Keener’s apartment. According to an affidavit that was submitted to the Eaton Municipal Court, the adolescent stated that she had sexual relations with Keener on many occasions.
The adolescent told the authorities that she and Keener began exchanging messages on Facebook and that she disclosed to him that she was 13 years old, while he claimed to be 26 years old. She claimed that she went to his place a few days later when it was rumored that they had sexual relations. The affidavit further stated that she asserted that she and Keener had traded naked photographs and videos with one another.
According to reports, Keener stated that he had been attempting to date the girl during an interview with the police. He also stated that the two of them had begun messaging each other on social media on January 12 and had already been together three times.

In addition, Keener had two sets of the girl’s underwear, which he attempted to dispose of by flushing them down the toilet while the police were at his flat, as stated in the court records daytondailynews reported.
Additionally, Keener was classified as a sexual offender of Tier II during his punishment. He will be forced to register his address with the sheriff’s office in his community every six months for the next quarter of a century, beginning with the time he is released from prison.
