Eastpointe Shooting: Two MEN ARRESTED After SHOTS FIRED Into HOME With Children

Two Michigan men were detained after an ongoing conflict resulted in a gunshot at a home that housed multiple individuals, including six children, officials said.

At 1:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Eastpointe officers responded to a home in the 16000 block of Forest to investigate an assault with intent to murder report.

When they arrived, they discovered that the homeowner was in a quarrel with his ex-girlfriend’s new lover.

The culprit in this case is the new boyfriend, who allegedly fired numerous shots into the house, which was occupied by several people, including six children, before fleeing the scene.

Nobody was wounded.

Police say the suspect was observed entering his St. Clair County house with another individual shortly after the incident. When they noticed the deputies, they rushed into the house and locked themselves.

Eastpointe detectives obtained a search warrant, and St. Clair County SWAT and the Port Huron Special Response Team executed it cbsnews Reported.

Both people were taken into custody. Police say “multiple items of evidence” were found at the location.

The matter is pending review by the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
