After a three-year-old son passed away as a result of a major brain injury, a man from Dunn has been charged with felony child abuse inflicting serious injury, according to the results of the investigation.
The Dunn Police Department was dispatched to 400 Ponderosa Drive on Monday morning in order to provide assistance to Dunn Emergency Services in the case of a kid who was three years old and was not responding to their surroundings. Following the arrival of the cops, they promptly made contact with the Criminal Investigations Division in order to initiate an investigation.
An individual who was present at the scene, Micha Ezekiel Wynn, was taken into custody and sent to the Dunn Police Department for interrogation. Sierra Privette, the mother of the kid, was also taken there. After being taken to a nearby hospital, the young kid, who was three years old, was then airlifted to a trauma center, where he ultimately passed away.
The youngster was found to have suffered a serious brain injury that resulted in a brain bleed, as stated in the arrest warrants. It is said in the warrants that Wynn, who is Privette’s boyfriend, was watching over the youngster at the time. Dunn police investigators, with assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, processed and collected evidence at the property that was the subject of a search warrant that was executed, according to the Dunn Police Department.
