1. The La Victoria Taqueria
When people talk about the best tacos in San Jose, they can’t leave out La Victoria Taqueria, which they playfully call “La Vic.” The first restaurant in this business opened in San Jose, and their famous orange sauce is known for being very tasty.
The super al pastor tacos are great because the pork is juicy and cooked just right. For something different, try the super carnitas taco, which has meat, pico de gallo, and avocado. You also can’t go wrong with their breakfast sandwiches, which come with orange sauce, bacon, eggy meat, and rice. It’s also a great spot for traditional street tacos.
There are several sites of La Victoria Taqueria in the South Bay Area. Our best is the one on OG, which is next to San Jose State University. There aren’t many parking spots, so find a paid place and take your great tacos to go.
Address: 140 E San Carlos St, San Jose, CA 95112
2. Tacos El Compa
Tacos El Compa is a wonderful spot in San Jose to get tacos. Everything at this family-run restaurant is made from scratch every day, and the tacos taste like they came from Mexico.
The restaurant is in South San Jose and serves tasty food in a great space. There are a lot of taquerias in South San Jose, but Tacos El Compa has the best Mexican food in the area.
Their carnitas tacos are filled with very juicy and crispy pork. For more bold eaters, they also have great lengua (beef tongue) and the best tortas around.
Tacos El Compa makes its own corn tortillas and puts a lot of emphasis on using good ingredients. People love their tacos at Tacos El Compa, which is a small restaurant with great service. In fact, you can even eat there.
Tacos El Compa has a lot of tables, and they serve horchata and agua fracas that are made just for you to go with your tacos.

3. Tacos Los Tres Reyes
This East San Jose taco truck is called Tacos Los Tres Reyes. People order food and pick it up. There are tables and chairs outside, and there is a self-service bar with salsa, pickled veggies, and an orange sauce that tastes pretty good.
Meats they serve at Tacos Los Tres Reyes are carnitas, carne asada, and al pastor. All they have on the menu are tacos. They add fried onions to their menu along with the tacos, which are full of meat.
Tacos Los Tres Reyes is on Story Road. The parking lot is shared with a car repair shop, so it’s not great, but there are some extra places on the street.

4. Dia De Pesca
The fried halibut taco at Dia De Pesca is the best choice if you love baja fish tacos. Lots of crispy fish pieces on top of green cabbage and their tasty salsas.
Another great place for happy hour is Dia De Pesca, which is also very clean. Monday through Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm is happy hour. Most of the time, they have a deal where you buy one taco or drink and get the second one half off!
It can be hard to find a spot in their private lot, and it gets really crowded during busy times, so you might have to park on the street. There are tables inside and outside, with most of the cover on the outside ones. It’s a nice spot to grab a bite.
Dia De Pesca only takes cash, no credit cards.

5. Taqueria Eduardo
Taqueria Eduardo is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has quick service, low prices, and large amounts of freshly made Mexican food in a friendly atmosphere. People in the area love this taqueria because it serves original tastes with fresh ingredients and has friendly service.
Mexican restaurant On Eduardo’s menu, you can find traditional Mexican food like burritos, quesadillas, tortas, nachos, and carne asada and carnitas tacos. The fried tacos with lots of meat and chopped cheese are our favorite.
For a cheap meal, serve that with rice and beans. The salsas taste great, that much we should say. There are a lot of choices, but the green and orange sauce was our favorite.
