Two men were fatally shot at a smoke store in South Los Angeles on Tuesday night, according to officials. Officers responded to a complaint just before 10 p.m. regarding a shooting at the business on the 8600 block of Figueroa Street, where they discovered two victims with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police claimed the victims, aged 39 and 28, were not aware or breathing when authorities arrived. First responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department eventually pronounced them dead on the spot.
They were inside the business in South LA’s Westmont area when the suspects entered and began fire, shooting numerous rounds, according to the LAPD.
The suspects departed the area in a car, according to the LAPD, and remained at large the next day. Police have not described the suspects or any other facts.
LAPD first estimated the victims’ ages to be between 20 and 25.
