According to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, a new rule that will take effect on Tuesday will require a large number of bars and nightclubs in the state of California to ensure that they provide common date-rape drug test kits.
The regulation, which is known as Assembly Bill 1013, mandates that around 2,400 businesses that hold a Type 48 license must display signage informing customers that alcohol and drug testing kits are available for purchase.
Based on the information provided by the department, Type 48 permits are granted to nightclubs and bars, and they allow for the sale of alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine, and distilled spirits.

Signage that warns, “Don’t get roofied!” is shown. Kits for testing for drug use in beverages are accessible here. Inquire with a member of the staff for further information.
According to the government, the drug testing equipment will either be made available for purchase at a price that is accessible to the general public or will be provided to clients at no cost.
Straws, test strips, and stickers are all examples of examples of devices that have the capability of detecting the presence of banned substances in beverages.
