An unidentified woman was discovered dead “lying in a pool of blood” inside a Brooklyn building on Saturday, according to authorities and sources.
The woman was discovered inside 113 Thetford Ave. in Brownsville at approximately 11:30 a.m., and she was pronounced dead by EMS, according to the NYPD.
According to law enforcement authorities, police discovered the woman “lying in a pool of blood” and seized three shot casings.
“The investigation is ongoing,” a department official stated.
Neighbors were stunned and unsure what had happened.

“It’s sad. “I feel for that family,” said another, who was sitting on the stoop next door, smoking a cigarette.
Tight-lipped detectives were observed entering and exiting a ground-floor flat on Saturday afternoon.
According to official documents, the multifamily dwelling was erected in 2007.
