The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that nine people were held at the Quality Inn in Goose Creek on charges of breaking the law. After getting several reports, the police set up surveillance in the area. Deputies said that after that, they started to see a lot of drug deals going on between people.
After several car stops, the following five people were arrested:
- A 39-year-old man from Goose Creek was charged with trafficking 28 to 100 grams of cocaine and having a gun while committing a dangerous crime.
- The 32-year-old Cierra Limehouse from Moncks Corner was charged with having cocaine on her.
- Julia Carlisle, 57, of Goose Creek was charged with having cocaine based on her plan to sell it.
- The 42-year-old Goose Creek woman Tanesha Jefferson was charged with having cocaine on her.
- Schantrice Rutledge, 42, of Gosse Creek was charged with having cocaine based on her plan to sell it and acting badly toward a child. She is the mother of a 5-year-old child that officers found while they were looking into the operation.
- Once the surveillance was over, deputies got a search warrant for both motel rooms, 109 and 106, where the action had been seen.
During the search, three people were found in one of the rooms: 5-year-old Leroy Cuttino, Sonya Rose, and Rose.
A cell phone, a glass pipe, a box of sandwich bags, a bag of marijuana, a bag of cocaine base, and a plastic bag of cocaine were also found by the deputies.
Cutting Tino was charged with trafficking cocaine base, having cocaine on hand with the intent to sell it, acting badly toward a child, trafficking cocaine base within half a mile of a school, and having cocaine on hand with the intent to sell it within half a mile of a school.
Rose faced charges of trafficking cocaine base, having cocaine with the intent to sell it, trafficking cocaine base within half a mile of a school, and having cocaine with the intent to sell it within half a mile of a school.
The 5-year-old child’s father is Cuttino. It was in room 106 that deputies found a plastic bag with methamphetamine, a plastic bag with fentanyl, and several glass pipes.
Washington, Kemontea was caught and charged with trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine, and drug tools.
An arrest warrant was filed for Cash for having drug paraphernalia.
