Seventeen people have been taken into custody by the Aurora, Colorado, police department in the aftermath of a violent armed home invasion that occurred at an apartment complex in the area.

The incident took place on Tuesday morning, just before 2:30 a.m., when officials were summoned to The Edge at Lowry Apartments, which is situated in the 1200 block of Dallas Street.

The authorities were called in response to a report of an armed house invasion that included both a stabbing and a kidnapping.

The Aurora Police Department immediately launched a preliminary investigation upon arriving at the site, and during that investigation, they determined that multiple individuals had entered an apartment where two people were present.

After that, the suspects threatened and shackled the victims while they were taken to another apartment within the same complex. The victims were taken there against their will by the intruders.

One of the victims, a male, was stabbed as the attack was taking place. He was one of the victims. On the other hand, law enforcement officials have claimed that he is anticipated to survive despite the severity of the wounds.

The perpetrators eventually let the victims go, and they were able to phone 911 and report the incident to the authorities when they were freed from their confinement.
