Police Officer Stacie Brown of Arlington was taken into custody Wednesday on charges of animal cruelty. Just last month, a grand jury brought obstruction or retaliation charges against the 18-year veteran cop.

While the internal affairs section was investigated, Brown was assigned to the DWI section. He is currently on leave. Alan Brown is a dog trainer who is married to her. He is facing accusations related to the deaths of three dogs that he was caring for at his house in Arlington.

On September 28, 2023, he was booked into the Tarrant County prison.

According to the indictment, Brown lied to the authorities regarding the dog’s owner after news of one of the killings went viral on Facebook last summer.

Brown is currently on leave as the Arlington Police Department’s internal affairs branch investigates the incident.

The agency assured CBS News Texas that they are collaborating with the district attorney’s office and are treating the situation seriously.

While his lawsuit is ongoing, Brown’s husband has requested the judge to let him pursue dog training. Next week is the scheduled hearing for that request.
