Arkansas Traffic Stop Nets 10 POUNDS of MARIJUANA, AUTOMATIC WEAPONS; Two Arrested

POPE COUNTY, Ark. – During a traffic stop over the weekend, Arkansas State Police discovered illegal drugs and weapons in a vehicle in Pope County, resulting in the arrest of two males.

According to officials, ASP troopers conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 40 in Pope County on Saturday. While conducting a search, authorities reported discovering two firearms and 10 pounds of illicit marijuana. According to ASP officials, one of the firearms was equipped with a “switch,” which rendered it entirely automatic.

According to special agents, William Morgan, 23, of Illinois, and Jahmezze Holman, 25, of Texas, were apprehended and transported to the Pope County Detention Center. Morgan informed investigators that he was departing from Oklahoma, according to officials.

Morgan is being charged with the following: possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and simultaneous possession of firearms and narcotics. Additionally, he is accused of perpetrating a crime with a machine gun.

Holman is currently being charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of firearms by a specific individual, and simultaneous possession of firearms and narcotics.

Morgan and Holman were still in the Pope County Detention Center as of midday Tuesday, according to kark.com. No bond information was provided.
