Two decomposed remains were discovered in a car in an Arizona parking lot: a missing young woman and her stalker.
Doris Aguilar, 25, was reportedly shot by Juan Cuellar, 51, who subsequently committed suicide with a shot to the head, according to local officials.
The couple’s bodies were discovered on July 7 in a gym parking lot outside Phoenix after being in the car for many days. According to private investigator Steve Fischer, who spoke with Arizona Family about the “sick and twisted” crime he has been investigating for Aguilar’s family, many of whom live in Honduras, Aguilar warned relatives and friends that Cuellar was dangerous and would not leave her alone.
Aguilar, a fitness fanatic, has been missing since July 1.
“She did tell her family and important people in her life about this person, and that if anything happened to her, he was responsible,” Fischer told Arizona Family. She continued: “He scared her.”
Fischer stated that Cuellar worked in the same building as Aguilar until around a year ago when he was fired.
The stalker is accused of repeatedly sending threatening messages to Aguilar and unexpectedly showing up at her gym.
According to Fischer, Aguilar became so terrified of Cuellar that she moved gyms to avoid him. But on June 27, Cuellar wrote a scary Facebook post that appeared to be directed at Aguilar.
“I’m getting my Lifetime [gym] membership back. Cuellar wrote, “See you soon,” on Facebook, according to Fischer.
On July 1, police discovered Aguilar’s unlocked car outside the Christown Shopping Center, with her possessions still inside, after family members reported her missing.
Six days later, Aguilar and Cuellar’s remains were found in a rented automobile in a steakhouse parking lot near Aguilar’s former gym. Fischer claims Cuellar rented the car as part of a “luring scheme” to get to Aguilar, but he does not believe Aguilar was slain in the rental vehicle.
“What I’ve been told, there is no biological evidence in the vehicle that she was shot in the car, so it looks like she was moved,” Fischer told me. Fischer claimed Cuellar left a note inside the vehicle to make it appear as if Aguilar had committed suicide.

“He tried to stage it to make it look like she killed herself,” Fischer told Arizona Family.
Aguilar’s phone data showed that her phone was turned off on July 1 shortly after 8 p.m. Phoenix Police Sgt. Rob Scherer told the publication that investigators are using security video to piece together the specifics of the incident, beginning with where Aguilar’s car was recovered.
Fischer and the Phoenix Police Department did not immediately respond to The Post’s inquiries Sunday.
