After three people, including a father and son, were fatally shot during a suspected robbery at a Hispanic grocery store, an 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of capital murder about a month after the incident.
In connection with the killings of Daniel Lopez, 20, his father Romero Lopez, 40, and a family friend George Elijah Jr., 50, at Tienda Los Hermanos, Jarques Butler was taken into jail on Tuesday, July 2, on two charges of capital murder. However, a warrant would be expected to be signed for the third count of capital murder.
Romero Lopez’s sister is said to be the owner of Tienda Los Hermanos, according to reports.
A shooting complaint was received at a small grocery shop on Troy Highway on June 4 at approximately 9 p.m., and officers and paramedics from the Montgomery Police Department arrived at the scene. They discovered three victims with gunshot wounds that were considered to be life-threatening. Both Elijah Lopez and Daniel Lopez were pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. Romero Lopez was transported to a hospital, but he did not survive his injuries and passed away afterward.

According to Reed, criminals have targeted firms that are comparable to theirs because they believe that they are an “easy hit” because they have more cash on hand rather than in a bank account or credit union.
