Missouri’s Kansas City —
Today will have temperatures in the 70s to around 80 degrees, strong breezes from the south, and the possibility of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. The weather will feel and look like spring.
Due to south winds of 15 to 20 miles per hour with gusts of up to 35 miles per hour, a warm and moist airmass will be present across the eastern part of Kansas and the western part of Missouri this afternoon. In the late afternoon and evening, a cold front that is arriving will cause the wind to shift and concentrate in a certain direction.
Along with and just in front of the cold front, it is anticipated that a somewhat thin line of showers and thunderstorms will develop. In Kansas City, you should have your umbrellas available between the hours of 2:00 and 7:00 p.m., as there is a possibility of rain in the eastern part of the metropolitan area later this evening.
