After midnight tonight, North Alabama will see sporadic rain showers again, and they will continue to come and go until Wednesday morning. On Wednesday afternoon, widespread rain and mild thunderstorms are expected to persist until at least Thursday morning.
There might be sporadic rains continuing through Friday afternoon on Thursday. There will likely be one more round of stronger rain and mild storms on Friday night and Saturday.
The Tennessee Valley as a whole should receive at least 2 inches of rain, but many of us may receive up to 3″. The greatest risk for flash flooding will come from pockets that are 5 to 6 inches deep.
It is predicted that Wednesday through Saturday will see highs in the low to mid-60s. It will be a little colder early next week, with highs in the upper 40s and 50s. We haven’t been able to say that for a while, but the entire following week appears to be peaceful!
