Texas State Trooper Hospitalized After Collision With Stuck Trailer on I-10 in Hudspeth County

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a state trooper from Texas was injured in a collision with a trailer that had been stuck on Interstate 10 in Hudspeth County. The trooper was eventually sent to a hospital in El Paso for treatment.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision took place on the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 (I-10) near mile marker 95, east of El Paso between Fort Hancock and Sierra Blanca, at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 14.

According to a statement released by the Texas Department of Public Safety, a semi-truck that was carrying a low-bed trailer attempted to do a U-turn at the center median to cross over. However, the trailer became trapped on the roadway, which blocked both westbound lanes of Interstate 10.

The trailer was driven into by a trooper who was traveling westbound on the highway. According to the Department of Public Safety, the trooper was taken to Del Sol Medical Center in East El Paso via ambulance and was subsequently admitted to the facility in stable condition.

The identities of the trooper and the truck driver have not been made public as yet. Continuing efforts are being made to investigate the crash.
