An accident involving two vehicles that occurred on Sunday in a neighborhood of Los Angeles resulted in the death of one person and the serious injury of another, according to the officials who confirmed the incident to KTLA.
Following a collision that occurred in Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw at approximately 4:09 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department received a call indicating that two individuals were in severe condition, with one of them being trapped.
The trapped passenger, who officials only described as a guy estimated to be in his 50s, was rescued by firefighters who responded to the location of Don Lorenzo Drive and Stocker Street. They began the process of freeing the passengers.
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) stated that when the guy was extracted from the vehicle, he and a passenger from the second vehicle were both taken to a hospital under critical conditions. However, the authorities did not immediately reveal the identities of either of the patients.
One of the vehicles was heading southbound on Don Lorenzo Drive and was negotiating a turn into eastbound Stocker Street when it collided with the other vehicle, which was traveling westbound on Stocker Street, according to the findings of an investigation which was conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department into the collision.

In the end, the passenger from the first car passed away while being treated at the hospital. There was no clarification provided by the officials regarding whether or not this patient was the individual who was extracted.
