Two Dead, Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Chicago’s Far Northwest Side Early Sunday Morning

According to the Chicago Police Department, a collision that occurred early on Sunday morning on the Far Northwest Side of the city resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to two others.

According to the Chicago Police Department, at approximately 12:16 in the morning, a red sedan was heading westbound in the 8700 block of Irving Park Road when it collided with a black SUV from the opposite direction, which was initially traveling eastbound.

One possible explanation is that the black SUV was attempting to make a turn across the lane occupied by the red automobile.

A male, aged 29, who was driving the red sedan was sent to Lutheran General Hospital, where he was reportedly in fair health and suffering from injuries that were not disclosed.

In the black SUV, three women were traveling. A woman who was thirty years old was sent to Lutheran General Hospital, where she ultimately passed away.

A woman who was 56 years old was sent to Resurrection Hospital, but she did not survive her stay there. After being transported to Lutheran General Hospital, a third woman, age 23, was found to be in fair condition with injuries that were not disclosed.

It’s possible that the black SUV also collided with a third vehicle, which was a gray sedan. The male, who was 22 years old and was driving the gray sedan, did not sustain any injuries and declined to receive emergency medical services.

The police stated that there were no citations in the works. Detectives from the surrounding area are looking into the crash.
