OREGON COUNTY, Mo.- A man from Arkansas died in an accident involving a pickup truck early Sunday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the truck crashed around 12:30 a.m. on Missouri Highway 142, roughly 10 miles east of Thayer.
The accident occurred when the truck veered off the road and crashed, partially tossing the passenger out.
The driver, a 54-year-old Thayer resident, was transported to the hospital with significant injuries. The passenger, a 25-year-old from Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, perished on the spot.
This is MSHP Troop G’s 23rd fatal crash of 2024.
