Furthermore, there are two potential reasons why you may not receive any of the Wednesday payments. If you received benefits before May 1997, your next Social Security check will be issued on November 1, two days ahead of schedule. Those receiving SSI and retirement benefits are not eligible for the October 23 payment.
How Much Might Your Social Security Be on October 23?
A retiree who files at the age of 70 may get up to $4,873 from the Agency. If you filed at the age of 62, your payment might be as much as $2,710. Those who file at Full Retirement Age may get a payout of up to $3,822.
On average, your Social Security benefit might be around $1,920. However, if you only worked for ten years, filed at age 62, and earned a little pay, you may receive a very small check.
Retirees who have recently started receiving Social Security retirement benefits and have a low income and few resources may be eligible for SSI benefits.
In this manner, you may receive an average monthly payment of $575. The next SSI check will not be received until November 1, although a decision may take longer if you apply in October.
