The Denver Post reported Monday that three Colorado men were accused of tying up and abusing their housemate for 14 hours, according to an arrest document.

The three males, Jason Carlson, 49; Sherell Allen, 48; and Luke Anaya, 41, are now under arrest and face charges of attempted murder, assault, false imprisonment, and kidnapping, according to court records.

The 45-year-old man told authorities that he had only been living in the residence in Jefferson County, just west of Denver, for a few weeks when he overheard his three housemates discussing attacking him around 2 a.m. on September 15, according to court records.

The man attempted to shut the door, but the three broke it down, shooting him with rock salt loaded into “Airsoft-type firearms,” punching him, and standing on his neck until he passed out, the man informed law authorities.

The victim claimed he was tortured for 14 hours before two other people arrived at the house and assisted him. He was brought to the hospital.

Carlson, Allen, and Anaya face cash bail ranging from $150,000 to $300,000 and are represented by the public defender’s office, which does not comment on cases.

Carlson and Allen are expected in court on October 15, while Anaya appears on Tuesday.
