A multi-agency undercover operation targeting child sex predators in North Las Vegas resulted in the arrests of 18 males.
The arrestees were:

- Jesse Baca, 37
- Marc Carofano Iii, 28
- Giovanni Cruz, 30
- Renato Moreno, 45
- Arcenio Lagas Jr., 24
- Jaret Ward, 26
- Andrew Naranjo, 31
- Jason Creech, 48
- Wilberth Maldecino, 32
- Roy Romero, 30
- Leon Park, 40
- Manuel Cruz, 29
They are all charged with enticing a youngster into sexual activity using a computer.
Michael Reider, 60, was arrested and charged with attempting to sexually assault a minor under 14.
On August 22 and 23, Las Vegas Metro police, the FBI, North Las Vegas police, Henderson Police, Homeland Security Investigations, the US Air Force Office of Special Investigation, and the Nevada Attorney General collaborated to organize and carry out the operation.
Police advise parents to talk to their children about the hazards of internet interactions with strangers. Parents are recommended to regularly monitor their children’s social media and other internet behavior to keep them from becoming victims of child sex predators. This operation was carried out as part of our ongoing efforts to prevent violent crime and protect children in our community.
