RALEIGH, N.C. – A coffee shop that provides employment opportunities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) announced on Friday that it will open a site on the Centennial Campus of North Carolina State University.

The new site of 321 Coffee, located at 930 Main Campus Drive in Raleigh, has been given a soft launch. The official opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 12 at 8:30 a.m.

The announcement comes after 321 Coffee stopped operations at its store in Durham at the beginning of August.

Other public locations of 321 Coffee include the following:

  • You can find the downtown area of Raleigh at 615 Hillsborough Street.
  • 1209 Farmers Market Drive in Raleigh is the location of the State Farmers Market.

Additionally, 321 Coffee runs two in-office cafes in Raleigh, located at Pendo and Relias Coffee.

IDDs are employed by businesses in large numbers of adults.

Together with Michael Evans, Lindsay Wrege established 321 Coffee in the year 2017. At North Carolina State University, the two first met in their respective dorm rooms as first-year students.
