An incident involving road rage that resulted in two shootings in west Midtown has resulted in the death of at least one person and the injury of another.

It appears that a male who was 28 years old was involved in a road rage incident when he was traveling northbound on Northside Drive between the junctions of Marietta Street and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. According to the authorities, the suspect fired at another car, causing a guy who was 51 years old to sustain injuries.

Following that, the suspect proceeded to travel in a northerly direction on Northside Drive, where he caused a collision with another vehicle at the junction of 10th Street, which is located less than half a mile distant. According to the authorities, he opened fire on a red car before finally shooting himself and taking his own life.

A second gunshot took place less than a quarter mile away from the Georgia Tech campus, and the Georgia Tech police department joined the Atlanta police department in responding to the area. Both the suspect and the victim are not associated with the institution, according to the authorities who have been released.

The university’s students and professors were informed of the presence of the police and informed that there was no threat to the campus through the dissemination of an alert that was sent out by the university.
