BALTIMORE – A youngster who attempted to kill a 14-year-old kid on a school bus in Prince George’s County last year was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Friday, according to Aisha Braveboy of the Office of the State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County.

“This sentence provides closure and accountability for what happened in this case,” said State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy. “It is our right as members of this community to be safe, to work, and to live freely without fear of danger. What happened on the school bus devastated the driver, aide, and teen victim for the rest of their lives. This 25-year sentence for Mr. Holland ensures that he is held accountable for his heinous conduct.

In May 2023, Kaeden Holland, better known as “Baby K”, severely beat a pupil after jumping onto a school bus with two other teenagers.

The 16-year-old attempted to kill the pupil by pulling the trigger three times, once in the skull and twice in the chest. The gun, however, failed, and the victim survived.

Police discovered ammunition on the bus, and weeks later, U.S. Marshals apprehended Baby K. Holland pleaded guilty earlier this year to attempted first-degree murder and using a pistol during a violent crime. He agreed to a plea deal that included a 60-year sentence with all but 25 years suspended.

During Friday’s court hearing, video evidence of the whole incident was revealed.

The two other juveniles involved in the violent attack were caught and prosecuted as adults, including a 14-year-old female accused of organizing the crime.

Holland will be detained in an adult facility.
