CONCRETE, Wash. – A house fire in a rural area northeast of Seattle killed three people, and police are still looking for a pickup truck that hasn’t been seen since the fire.

Mount Vernon Police said in a statement that the two-story home in the small town of Concrete was destroyed by fire on Friday morning.

Monday, police said that the bodies of the three victims had been found, but that it had been hard to do so because the scene of the crime was so badly damaged.

The names of the victims will be made public by the Skagit County Medical Examiner once each one has been recognized. Police said that one of the victims worked for Skagit County. They didn’t say anything else, but they did say that the person did not work for the county sheriff’s office.

Police say that the scene of the fire is still being looked at by many groups, including the government Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. It wasn’t clear yet what caused it.

Around 10:25 a.m. Friday, the fire department was called. Police said they had found some victims, but it could take days to get them back because the building had fallen.

Investigators need help from the public to find a blue 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck that hasn’t been seen since the fire. They have asked witnesses or anyone else who knows anything about this to call Mount Vernon police. It wasn’t clear what the truck had to do with the fire.

It takes about 96 miles to get from Seattle to the town of Concrete.
